When 42-year-old Melissa Carr picked up a slightly worn couch from a local thrift store, she never imagined she’d be calling the police just hours later.
“I felt something hard under the cushion, and I thought maybe it was a remote or someone’s phone,” Melissa said in a TikTok video that’s now sitting at 12.7 million views. “But then I found a zipper… and inside was a locked metal box.”
Curiosity got the best of her. With the help of her neighbor, she managed to open the box — only to find:
-
A stack of hundred-dollar bills, bound in rubber bands
-
A mysterious, unmarked USB drive
-
And a photo of two people in what looked like a government facility
🚨 She immediately contacted the authorities. Within hours, two plainclothes agents were reportedly seen at her house, taking the items and asking her not to speak to media.
Melissa hasn’t posted on social media since.
🧠 Online theories range from:
-
“She found spy evidence.”
-
“That USB had blackmail material.”
-
“The government planted it to test public reaction.”
Stay tuned. Something tells us this story isn’t over…
