She may be smiling, but this beautiful Christian mom did the unthinkable

This is Andrea Yates — a quiet, beautiful, deeply religious young woman from Texas who everyone saw as the perfect Christian wife and mother.

She homeschooled her kids, went to church, and always had that soft, kind smile in family photos.

But on June 20, 2001, while her husband was at work… she did something so horrifying it still shocks the world today.

The Unthinkable Crime:

One by one, Andrea drowned all five of her children in the family bathtub:

• Noah, 7
• John, 5
• Luke, 3
• Paul, 2
• Mary, 6 months old

After killing them, she laid their bodies on the bed, covered them with a sheet, and calmly called 911 saying: “I killed my children.”

Why?

She had severe postpartum psychosis and believed Satan was living inside her. She thought she was saving her children from going to hell.

She was convicted of murder, but later found not guilty by reason of insanity. She currently lives in a psychiatric hospital.

A sweet-smiling, church-going mom who once looked completely normal ended up committing one of the most disturbing familicides in modern American history.
