This boy grew up to do one of the most shocking crimes in American modern history

This is Chris Watts — the fit, smiling, suburban dad from Colorado who looked like he had the perfect life.

He posted loving family photos, worked as an oil field operator, went to church, and seemed like a devoted husband to his pregnant wife Shanann and father to their two little girls, Bella (4) and Celeste (3).

But in August 2018, he completely erased his entire family in one of the most cold-blooded acts in modern American true crime.

The Horrifying Crime:

On the night of August 12–13, 2018:

• Chris strangled his pregnant wife Shanann (15 weeks with their son Nico) to death in their bed.
• He then smothered both of his daughters, Bella and Celeste.
• He loaded their bodies into his truck.
• Drove them to an oil field where he worked.
• Dumped Shanann in a shallow grave.
• Dropped his two little girls’ bodies into separate oil tanks.

The next day, he went on national TV crying and pleading for the safe return of his “missing” family… while he was already in a new relationship and wanted to start over.

The Aftermath:

Police quickly caught him. He eventually confessed everything. The case became a worldwide sensation because of how normal and happy he appeared on social media right up until the murders.

Chris Watts is currently serving five consecutive life sentences with no possibility of parole.
