This girl grew up to become one of the most successful people in the world

Born in 1947 in Chicago, Illinois, she grew up in a middle-class family. From an early age, she was extremely smart, ambitious, and competitive. While most girls in her generation were encouraged to become housewives, Hillary had bigger dreams. She excelled in school, became involved in politics as a teenager, and went on to attend Wellesley College and later Yale Law School — one of the best law schools in the country at a time when very few women were doing so.
She met a guy named Bill Clinton at Yale. They got married and moved to Arkansas, where their journey in politics truly began.
Over the next few decades, Hillary became one of the most powerful women in the world:
- First Lady of Arkansas
- First Lady of the United States (1993–2001)
- U.S. Senator from New York (2001–2009)
- Secretary of State under President Obama (2009–2013)
- The first woman in American history to win a major political party’s nomination for President in 2016
She has been praised by millions as a trailblazer for women in politics, while also being one of the most controversial and polarizing figures in modern American history.
From a smiling young girl with big dreams in the 1960s, she rose to become one of the most successful, influential, and talked-about women on the planet.
This is Hillary Clinton.
